🔥 Enhanced Cardone 84-17423 New High-Energy Ignition (HEI) Electronic Distributor and Module Review

Only 9 months old with 5441 miles! Called the manufacturer, got me going and told me to file a claim again through Revain.

After some ignition problems I settled on this distributor as it was a lot cheaper. It worked but some of the internal bolts were loose on arrival which could snag on the rotor and the oil cap didn't fit snugly.

I first bought a distributor off eBay for $60 but it didn't work well and my speedo needle jumped. This costs extra. Works perfectly. Just make sure you set up the timing with the ECU disabled.

New Cardone parts have a lifetime guarantee, it's useless if you can't send them back for an exchange. I couldn't even trade with Cardone. Defective after 3 months

Quality control is terrible. Installed a new dizziness and after about 500 km the car switched off when driving on the Autobahn. We couldn't find the problem. We eventually began to doubt and contemplate the new swindle. When we removed the lid, there was melted plastic in the lid. It turned out that the screw holding the rotor to the shaft was missing, allowing the rotor to spin on the shaft and disabling the machine. See photos.

I've been using it for about 2 months. There are no known issues that I might encounter. When installing, you probably need to pay attention to the right time. Where the manifold is mounted, there is a wide gap at each of the three mounting points. Usually the distributor needs to be in the middle of the gap in order for the car to turn on (and stay on) and have reasonable fuel economy. I had a crank, no problem starting my '98 Integra LS. I removed the distributor cap and saw that I had the Red Dust of Death, meaning the bearing in the distributor ate itself.
