THE MAIN reason I bought this was for the PA system but I can't even say I'm talking about it with the windows down. The beep and effects are SUPER LOUD, but the speaker for your voice isn't. I also dented the brittle plastic I thought was wire mesh on the mic just by lifting it up.

Literally the cheapest plastic you can touch! The horn or bell is about half the size you imagine. I can't tell you what it sounds like because it doesn't work AFTER installation. He has the power in the conversation, the power in the weak microphone. But nothing! Silent! Nothing! Return for Refund!

I have never had to use this product. When it arrived I tested it and it worked. Then a week later I installed it but didn't try it until 2 weeks later. The speaker doesn't work, when you press the siren buttons it just clicks. When I speak into the microphone, it turns itself off and I don't hear anything. I would not recommend buying this product.

Much better than expected. Because it's $20 I thought it was a cheap piece of plastic that would break. I was wrong, much louder and better than expected. If you want to install it properly (like mine) you will need to buy some extra screws. The only complaint is the weight of the PDA (it's pretty light) and the assembly of the rest for the PDA (probably going to break soon).

A fun intercom to play with while driving. Some people listen and some don't. Works well in quiet cities. When I live in Los Angeles, the intercom just sounds like...well, nothing really. For a small, inexpensive siren system, it's surprisingly loud. The horn, siren and hi-lo sound great, which is what you would expect from an American fire truck, but the 4 call buttons are loud but sound more European. It's easy to install between the grille and radiator of my 05 Silverado, and the two power cables and quick connect microphone to speaker were easy to hook up if you're experienced with car wiring. Time will tell but for now I'm quite happy with this siren.
