Carrand 9038 Compact Folding Squeegee Review

Works. Bought to clean windows from morning dew. I've had one for years and left it in the garage when I moved in. Found this product as a scan and was thrilled. Do not wet side windows before driving and may wipe them before driving. Much safer. Never used to clean windows but wipes dew off very well. Small, easily expandable, recommended purchase.

This is the third Carrand wiper I have bought in 10 years. The first 2 worked very well until the blades wore out after 5 years. The latest scraper is a disappointment. First, the blade was built backwards into the body. It made him bounce and squeak as he was painted through the window. About 10 years ago I bought a similar folding scraper which I kept in my car. I was very happy with it but it looked bad so I bought this one to replace. This new one is terrible. The rubber is too stiff and doesn't take the shape of the windshield curve, so it only exposes areas of the window that are about 2 inches wide at a time. I was very excited to see this product got good reviews and really hoped this mop didn't suck like the other one I bought. But lo and behold: the mop is terrible. This one seems to have a really thick and hard rubber that doesn't soak up water very evenly as it can't follow the contour of the surface I'm cleaning.
