This little digital magnifier from Carson is great. It's great for doing science at home and having everything you need to get close to tiny objects. The included software makes it easy to adjust the image. My only complaint is that the graduated measurement base is a bit small and the loupe and gooseneck can't flex properly to utilize all measurement ranges. I have version 3 of the product. I would like to give five stars, but the installation process was not smooth. Although the instructions for the software don't mention the need for a reboot when installing on Windows 10, a reboot was required for the software to find the camera, even though Device Manager showed it was installed and working. Overall this is a great microscope for the price. You just can't beat him. The subject of your picture needs to be perfectly still and you need to be very close to get a decent picture. It is very easy to see small details. I used this for my internship and I have to say that I am satisfied. You also need good lighting for the best pictures. I am very satisfied with this product. Looking through hundreds of coins and bills with a magnifying glass can be very tiring, but this little gem allows me to view images and navigate through my collection. Several examples of the 1995 coin and $100 bill are included. I only have a few minor criticisms, but given the price and the fact that it's basically a modified webcam, I shouldn't expect absolute perfection from the microscope. I can't vouch for Mac users, but on Windows 10 this oscilloscope worked with the first plug-in and running the "Xploview" app (required to use the camera).
