This is a nice and inexpensive case but not deep enough for the Shure SM7B. The bracket on the SM7B causes the sides of the case to protrude slightly. Due to the fact that the microphone is snug in this case, it doesn't protect well from falls or bumps against the sides of the case.

I bought this case for my telescope eyepieces and various other small accessories. This is a quality case. If it falls or falls, I hope my eyepieces are protected. The sliding lock system on both sides prevents the case from failing and opening itself during transport or from falling.

I was looking for a way to protect my Rode NT1-A on the go as it only comes with a thin cloth case.
