Overpriced junk

This is ridiculous. Make them yourself from a piece of fabric, velcro and money. They don't sit well on the helmet and they look goofy. Should have returned it. total divorce.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Little things

Keep your ears warm! for helmets and accessories

It follows the contour of your helmet straps so if they are far from your ears it will be too. However, it definitely reduces the wind and is a lot easier than trying to wear a beanie under a helmet!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not the best

Perfect solution for cold windy ears

I love these cat ears! They were very easy to put on my helmet and the fabric is so soft. They didn't let the cold wind whistle through my ear canal (which caused me pain). They also magically reduce wind noise without absorbing other important sounds. Can't recommend enough.

Keeps my ears warm on cold riding days.

I ride weekly with friends in Boulder, Colorado and I needed something that would keep my ears warm and allow me to hear traffic noise. Voila! These ear covers do the trick. My only criticism is that there needs to be more material on top of the covers to allow it to be tucked deeper into the helmet. Should be half the price considering it's just black fabric and velcro straps.

Pros
  • nice deal
Cons
  • not bad

Not suitable for all helmets.

Sorry does not work with Critical Cycles Classic Commuter Helmet. Due to the way the straps attach to the helmet, the covers never fit close enough to my ears. My ears were cold and the wind blew incessantly. I'll try them later when the weather gets a little better, but they're not 100% compatible with the above helmet no matter how I set them up. I have to protect them extra to make them work.

Bike lifeguard!

Ever since I was a kid, I have suffered from quite excruciating earaches whenever I run or ride my bike in cool or cold weather. In my research, I came across reports from other people who had the same condition and swore by these cat ears. As it turned out, they were right. I wouldn't have thought so, but they warm my ears enough - and most importantly they protect them from the wind - to avoid earaches after the anticipated ride. Because they reduce wind contact, they also reduce wind noiseโ€ฆ

Ideal for winter road cycling

So far so good. For my fellow road bikers; My first ride with them was around 44 degrees and they did a great job of protecting my ears from the wind and heat. My average cruising speed is about 24 mph, and my max is about 30 mph downhill. Now that the temperature has dropped to 30 and 20 degrees, I wear a balaclava, but I have no doubt that it still contributes to my warmth. The temperature during my last trip is 33 degrees with a fairly constant wind. At the end of the trip my ears didn'tโ€ฆ

Cat ears fit snug and feel cozy!

Okay I have to be honest the temperature has dropped to almost -20 since she arrived so I haven't taken her outside yet. Hey, they're polar fleece and I think we all know how warm that is. I would call them Medium Fleece. Not micro and not thick enough to feel like a pillow over the ears. I love how they match the Y straps on my Garneu graphic helmet. The material is wider than the straps so when the Velcore is wrapped around the helmet straps it keeps the ears nice "cupped" and they fit myโ€ฆ

Brilliant! An integral part of my equipment.

I'm a big guy with a big head. So big that I have to look for big enough helmets. I have both the Giro models and the Bell models with the ear tips attached to the Giro. I usually ride in cold weather with a helmet cap and a beanie over my ears (like goggles over my ear). ) and these covers are in place. These things work GREAT! I hear road noise, including traffic approaching from behind, and I hear my Bluetooth speaker (steering wheel mounted), but the wind noise is gone. These things holdโ€ฆ
