Save your money and buy a board from Home Depot or Lowes.

Warning. Bought for $45.86. have a step The 3 screw holes are on one side of the board, off-center. So not strong. The other thing is that a top screw doesn't screw all the way in, so it's not flush. There is a 1/2 inch gap. I thought I'd try the cat. The shelf will not be strong. He leans forward as she sits down. I even tried buying clamps in the Ace gear for more strength. It does not work. Can't go back now as screws are used. waste of $$.

Nothing for the cat to grab

Bought this as an extra step for my cat to get to her scratching post. The platform is a bit narrow and while it can easily carry my thinner cat, I don't think it will carry my fatter cat very well. Other than that, my little cat loved it and used it all the time. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM is that it's a smooth piece of wood that most cats won't jump on. I had to attach a felt cloth to it so my cat would have something to hold on to and feel safe. She wouldn't use it until I added fabric. The fabric…

Great cat shelf and looks good too!

I looked at a lot of cat shelves before I bought them. They're definitely more expensive, but it's clear that manufacturers have put a lot of time and effort into getting them right. The bracket that attaches to the stud is well made and well designed and that was the part that bothered me the most. But once assembled, it's so solid you'll think you can sit on it. (You can't, you don't.) The only improvement I made was I added a rug at the top for the cats to cling to. The shelves are sleek and

These suck! - Cat Houses & Condos

I am so mad at this product! They are terribly designed! I have newly painted walls that are now full of holes that need patching and repainting. There are three holes for hanging them all on the same side of the board and very close together. What if you don't have them in a hairpin, you need to use an anchor. I did this and because the holes are so close together they connect and form one giant hole. My cat went down and the very last board came out of the wall ties and stuff. Luckily she was

One step to Cats

Well, I also thought it was at least three parts, but it's really just one step. I actually tracked down the postman, thinking he hadn't left all the boxes or something. But when we looked at the entire description together, we could see that it really was just one step. He agreed that it wasn't clear from the picture and product description that it was just one step. You have to scroll down and read the story they write in detail to find out you don't get everything you see in the picture…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
