Good quality catalytic converter

Good quality catalytic converter comes with all installation parts as shown in the photos in the description. Suitable for 2000 F23 Accord LX 4 Cylinder Engine with No Trouble Codes. However, no heat shield is supplied and the original heat shield needs to be modified to fit an O2 sensor as mentioned in other reviews. Buy a Topec Screw Extractor Kit (B07MX8B6XX) to remove an old rusty nut and save time.

Perfect for 1999 Honda Accord. However, be prepared to cut the screws on your old one.

Perfect for a 1999 Honda Accord. That being said, if you don't have good ramps and/or stands, a big jack, and a grinding wheel, you can hire a mechanic with all the good tools to replace it for you. I tried Irwin bolt extractors but couldn't get enough force or torque, so Mr. Side Grinder made short work of the bolts. After the old one came out, the new one slipped in easily. Hanni is happy, I'm happy.

This catalytic converter worked great on my Honda!

I bought a 1998 Honda Accord LX and it failed the emissions test here in the Denver area. I bought this catalytic converter and while it fit perfectly and included all the gaskets and fasteners, it took a bit of experience to get the old cat out. The old heat shield had to be modified a bit with metal snips. After installing the new cat I ran the car for a few drive cycles and cleared the P0420 OBD2 diagnostic code that was already there. I passed the remission test. This cat was a very goodโ€ฆ

The order arrived on time. The product comes with all mounting hardware (screws and gasket) exactly as shown in the photos. decent quality. Perfect for the car. It does not come with a heat shield like the original Honda parts and due to the size of this part the OEM heat shield cannot be used on it. never mind Ease of installation. I bought a new O2 sensor for it. Now neither the check engine light nor the rattling noise is on. The post-cat O2 sensor reading stays stable most of the time andโ€ฆ

Have the right tools before you start

This catalytic converter is easy to install if you have the right tools. I was able to remove my old catalytic converter and install this in about 2 hours. I struggled to remove my original catalytic converter just because the bolts were rusted and it took us a while to remove it. As a result, I had to cut out the catalytic converter and get better access to the bolts. Installing the new catalytic converter was really easy, just 6 volts and done. Before you begin, make sure you have the rightโ€ฆ

No more check engine light

I bought this because the check engine light came on and I got code 420. I replaced the defective unit with this one and the codes didn't come back. I also replaced the O2 sensor although it was not defective. The 2003 Honda Accord had the original catalytic converter and the screws were in poor condition. The front three were fairly easy to loosen with bolt extractors. No nuts were visible on the rear bolts as they had deteriorated so I cut them off with a grinder. The new block came with aโ€ฆ
