Description of Dr. Moss Catappa Leaves - Indian Almond Leaves Medium Catappa 🍃 10-15cm for Betta Fish & Shrimps (20 pcs): Natural and Effective Aquarium Conditioner

☑ ORGANIC, MINI CATAPPA LEAVES --- SunGrow Mini Catappa leaves are hand picked just before they fall. ☑ HAVE A BREEDING FISH? ADD CATAPPA --- The tropical fishes create bubble nest using a floating leaf or plant to anchor their bubbles. ☑ NATURAL HOMELY ENVIRONMENT FOR FISH --- Blackwater, or tannin-rich water has many great benefits for fishes like tetra, discus, and goldfish. It may turn the water black initially, but gives natural water condition to them. ☑ The Catappa leaves are organic so you know what goes into your tank. Simply drop a few leaves into the water and you’ll notice the water turning brown (or yellow) in just a few hours. Remove only when the leaves start to disintegrate. ☑ Always rinse before use, even after boiling or soaking. By the way, a "post-boil soak" in fresh water with a bag of activated carbon is a recommended step too.

Won't buy again

Not very good, the leaves are serrated and have holes. Other Indian flaked almonds have larger leaves and higher quality.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Appearance

Leaves on the aquarium water treatment

Good food for shrimp. I bought it to lower my PH, seems pretty ineffective in that regard. There's definitely plenty of unground, natural-looking leaves in this pack. I use these and will probably get more, roasts and shrimp love them.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Secret

Fighting fish and snails approved

My fighting fish and snails love it. The betta tank is 10 gallons and it only took me 1 1/2 leaves to give it the color I wanted. My snail tank is smaller and only needs 1 leaf. Be careful, carbon filters remove tannin (tea color) from the water.

Pros
  • Trial version for one year
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Disappointed with Best in Fish and Aquatic Pets

Satisfied with sheet size and integrity. BUT I took them out of the bag to cook and there was yarn on one of the leaves. maybe there is more in the package. It makes me doubt whether this product is suitable for my aquariums.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Minor

BEST BUY! best aquarium water treatment

These Indian almond leaves are my absolute favorite. The leaves are the perfect size, in the perfect quantity, and at the perfect price. They go really well with my rooster and tortoise shells. Order more and if you are looking for Indian almond flakes I recommend this Dr. Moss.

Pros
  • great price
Cons
  • not bad

Small white worms on aquarium water treatments

I followed the directions on the packaging, rinsed the leaves and placed them in the aquarium until they drowned. Well, everything was fine for the first day or so, but then I noticed small white worms on the glass of the aquarium and several larger worms that were swimming and moving freely in the water. I've done several water changes and a thorough tank cleaning since then and they were still there. This led me to believe they came from the leaves themselves. Therefore, I recommend boiling…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
