Bought two of these for cats to climb on my wife's desk, they arrived late tonight. I installed them right away. They look great and the cats have been on them for an hour. I could do the whole room now.

Let me start by saying that I'm not an expert at fixing things to the wall. However, it was so difficult. You need to be absolute with your measurements and keep your fingers crossed for your stud finder to be accurate. I've tried mounting it on two different walls and failed twice. Even though it's wobbly, cats still like it, so it's served its purpose. Just be prepared to spend a LONG TIME to make sure all your measurements are correct before applying them and fingers crossed too.

I combined it with a feed rack, horizontal scratching posts and a ceiling to floor vertical post converted into a scratching post with 24" spacing between all straight shelves and posts and 12" wide / 18" high for all diagonals and it has works great for my cat. This is overkill for some 2x2x6 boards that have been sanded, painted and attached around a piece of canvas. I'm not a carpenter but I'll make one of these. This model is in my dining room which also has a work station. My cat loves to sit and rest on the upper tier when I'm at my desk. It's easy to install and I would definitely recommend shoeing it for strength. It took my cat a few days, a few weeks, to get used to it. She's just slow with new adventures.
