I chose this harness for my very small kitten hoping it would fit. It fits great! Nice and tight so I'm not afraid of it coming loose on the outside. She can rotate the straps around herself so that the top rests on her chest. I have no idea how she does it. But she could never break free, even if she got out of joint. We just took our kitten on an overland trip. I was afraid of losing him somewhere along the way, so while driving he wore his harness with an identification tag attached. I have no complaints about this belt, it worked great! It sits on him perfectly, tight enough to stop when he pulls on it, but not so tight that it's uncomfortable.
