I was embroidering something and wanted to put it in a nice little wooden frame for display. Didn't know it was rubber but it's ok for a finished project. I don't think it's a useful hoop to work on your project because you put the rubber on top of the inner plastic, but you can't adjust the tightness like a regular zippered embroidery hoop. This is a great hoop to display your decorating projects.

They worked very well. The description of the size confused me a little, so the outer size with the ring for a round hoop is 4 inches and the inner size that can be embroidered is 3 inches. It holds tension very well and it wasn't difficult to put the fabric + inner ring in place. Since my project required the image to be centered, this was a little tricky, but still not bad. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.

It really takes your project to the next level instead of cramming your work into a cheap plastic frame. They are larger than I expected, which is a good thing because you can fit more related work into them (I've done some birds and it would be difficult to fit them into the smaller frames. The hanging clasp is good too.
