Description of πŸ”§ Enhance Your Brewing Setup with CellarBrew Splicer Stainless Reducing Fitting

Made of 304 stainless steel, strength, resistance and ductility at high temperatures. The reducer hose barb fitting connects on both ends for two different ID hoses. Working temperature range from -40 to +160 degrees F. Commonly used to connect lines for air, water, fuel, oil and inert gases in a quick and simple way. The barbed stems create a tight seal on flexible and semi-rigid hose when used with a hose clamp or crimp sleeve or ferrule.

Low Tolerance Connector

This is a poor quality, tight tolerance fitting and will not fit high tolerance lines such as nylon or rubber fuel lines (see photos). the inside of the line and cause a restriction or flow problem. I needed this for a nylon fuel injector line and the tolerance is so far out that the 5/16 side of the gear fits the 3/8 nylon line - the 5/16 side doesn't even try to fit. When I used the heat gun to put it on, it ripped the 5/16 line to apply pressure.

Pros
  • Barbed hose adapter for connecting to both ends for two different inner diameter hoses.
Cons
  • Slightly torn

1/4 inch Misssize

The 1/4" side is notched, too smooth to trust. I was able to easily hand thread it into a 1/4 ID fuel line (Gates 1/4" Barricade Fuel Injection Hose) insert and remove without twisting or twisting. While this product may be useful for other applications I would not trust it for fuel lines, low pressure or high pressure applications. The 5/16 inch seems to be the same. I really wanted this to work as I like to use stainless steel whenever I can. I've read others with similar complaints but had…

Pros
  • Barb Bolts provide a secure fit on flexible and semi-rigid hoses when used with a clamp, sleeve or sleeve.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

A simple solid piece of hose with barbs for attaching to a hose

The simplest product. A piece of pipe cut to size. The 1/2-3/8 had good "barbs" to grab the inside of the tubing on both ends. The 1/4-3/8 had good serrations on the 3/8" end, but the 1/4" end was a bit rounded and less defined. I tested both adapters with the EPDM tubing used for the syringe. Fits well, is not very difficult to put on and holds up satisfactorily when taken off 1/2-3/8. The 1/4" hose end was a little easier to install/remove than the 3/8 or 1/2" hose ends. I definitely…
