Good quality construction and clamping function works but does not produce consistent results resulting in pin connection misalignment. If a product doesn't match the name - it doesn't match the exact middle - then you need to try something else.

It needs to be re-trued from time to time by tightening it if the lock washer is loose. However, it also gives you the option to place the holes off-centre, which I've found useful when joining pieces of wood of different widths and want a flat surface.

The jig works well for the price but needs to be tightened well to the workpiece. The instructions aren't very clear, but I've noticed a window at the bottom of one page where you can see lines marking the center of the hole so you can consistently line it up with where you want to drill.

The mount I received did not open or close smoothly and the block was not centered. I tried to center myself several times but couldn't keep it, made difficult by the difficult opening and closing. This may be a faulty device and not a design issue. i have to come back

Extremely annoying device due to misalignment. It's not perfectly self-centering, it's off by a few mm. This means you have to flip it when connecting two parallel boards. However, since the jigs are not centered, you cannot use the margin offset as a template. So you'd better be precise with your placement, which is tricky since you can't see if you line up. Absolutely terrible design.

However, I have found that the vibration of the drill causes it to come off center after only a few holes have been drilled, requiring frequent readjustment. Also, the mark used to align the template with the drill hole in the wood was small and difficult to see. For these reasons I decided to return it.

This jig really simplifies the attachment of certain pieces of wood. In my opinion, it creates stronger bonds than cookies, although there's a reason to use both. My experience with this tool has not been very good so far. On the one I received, not only was the center block off-center, it was also not perpendicular to the clamping surfaces. When I installed it on a piece of ¾" blank, the center block measured .137" from the clamping surface on one end and .201" on the other. So it was a lot more than 1/16" in a space of less than 5".
