Description of Centric Parts 105.09140 Posi-Quiet Ceramic Brake Pad with Shims: Enhanced Performance and Noise Reduction

Extreme pressure compresses the friction material creating a more consistent material density throughout the pad This process utilized by O.E. suppliers is the most advanced available today. Precision cut or shaved backing plates reduce vibration and noise by ensuring proper fit in the caliper, correct fitment results in even pad wear and consistent braking power throughout the lifetime of the brake pad. All Posi Quiet brake pads feature mechanically attached, application specific shims, these shims provide superior noise abatement compared to lesser adhesive or drift-lock style shims. Stable friction performance across wide temperature range. Ensures better braking performance with minimal noise. Fit type: Vehicle Specific.

the first half is good.

The problem with this brand is that it's good for the first 20,000 miles. Braking becomes less sensitive halfway. I've never used it fully with centric. so guess.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Only available in white

Not for 2011 Accord EX

Centric Pads and Rotors - Great value, much better than OEM. These centric pads 105.09140 are not for 2011 Honda Accord EX. You are too short. Make sure you order the correct pads for your model/year.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Low quality! - Spares

I am so disappointed with the quality of these brakes. Two weeks after wearing them, they started to creak. A week later it got much worse. Now I get so confused when braking next to other cars. The sound is so loud. I would definitely not recommend these. Low quality!

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Ok

Not durable.: Brake pads

Bought for a 2014 Honda Accord. As previously mentioned, the clips were faulty, causing them to move, resulting in a ridge and crack at the corner of the brake pad. They squeaked with every brake and click. Bought February 2020, had to be replaced in December 2020 with less than 5,000 miles.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Some little things

Excellent pads, bought many times

There is practically no brake dust. Surpassed the "high quality" EBC pads they replaced which coated my wheels in dark soot. Ceramics and Centric available now. There are new abutment clips in the box (smooth guides that fit into the slots where the pads go) but they don't work for my application (Honda Pilot). They were too narrow for the rotor. I cleaned and reused the bearing clamps.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • For a long time

Beware! on brake pads

I ordered these, the clamps holding the brakes in place were the wrong size for my mounts. The ears on the pads were too small to fit properly in the original clips. After installation, the brakes worked, but there was a knock (the pads moved in brackets) every time when driving forward or backwards. I ended up buying another set and swapping them out. The rear brakes were good, but the front ones were a waste of time and money. Should have listened to the messages from other reviewers.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
