I've only used this indoors so far and it's been great. This is exactly what I was looking for and works great with foam balls for training on a rainy day. The rough side held up (I was afraid the little artificial grass blades would fly all over the place, but that hasn't happened yet), and the fairway side is just like a regular mat. I really like the tee feature because it uses regular tees which makes it easy to switch between tee shots and fairway shots.

I like this item a lot. I wish it was a little bigger but it costs a lot more. That's enough. I have to say to those who complain about the durability: look, this is just plastic grass, not steel. If you hit it with a golf club enough times, it will start to wear out. What do you expect? My advice is don't always put the ball exactly in the middle, always in the same spot. They will START to have some kind of scuff mark. Use your head, move the ball around a bit, and you'll be fine. Maybe not…

I have purchased other items from this company and have been satisfied. I have a few issues with the smaller step mat. It moves with every hit. Even more frustrating is how they chose to set up the tee. The hard plastic tee breaks every time I hit it and I have to use my own tee. It's dirty and wasteful. My advice to the company: you will replace that wasteful and messy tee installation with the more useful rubber tees used in every landfill. This is the best practice. I'm going to cut them out
