Easy to fire - each charcoal lasts about an hour or so

I brought home a bag of incense sticks from Oman along with a burner and a pod of coals. The coals I brought home were difficult to light. The slight spark from these embers is an easy indication that the charcoal is burning (since it is not obvious at first). Once ignited, the charcoal is usually ready within a few minutes. Good product.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Small and compact size

Arrived intact today, no broken or missing parts. BUT I should have researched more. Carbon discs are small, like quarter-size discs. I was expecting normal sized carbon rims. I use charcoal discs to burn incense on my altar and clean my house. While the size of these discs is not ideal for home cleaning as I may need to use twice the size I normally use, their size makes them ideal for incense at the altar.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

DO NOT burn: Incense Sticks and Incense Holder

This way you light the disc and you will see some very small sparks running across the disc. This happens relatively quickly. After that, the disc gets "hot", but nothing you would expect from charcoal. Upon inspection, the disc appears normal. You can't say it's on fire. After a few minutes you can hold it in your hand. Looks the same as before the light. No ash, nothing, looks like new. It doesn't work at all.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Low Repairability

Fits my lace

Used on my lace collection and works well. At first it boils and small mini-sparks, but not much. So far it burns consistently when needed and lasts an hour as expected. It gives off that sulphurous or faint sulphurous smell when it burns, but when it's done the smell goes away after a few minutes if I put incense sticks on it. So far I haven't had any duds in the first pack. But it has to happen to everyone. I will keep buying. But let's try other brands.

Hit or Miss incense sticks

I love these little slices! They are a bit smaller than the carbon discs I've always seen. Next to one of them I posted a picture of a "medium sized" hard drive. It's slightly larger than the American Quarter. I really like the size as I usually had to break others in half or just let it burn after using it and it always seemed wasteful. They're still burning, maybe for almost an hour or so. They burn well and catch fire easily. EDIT - ok after using these drives for a few months I would say…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Best charcoal I've found

I tried several other groups of similar charcoals before coming across Charcoal Master. It's superior in every way to other brands I've tried. One of the problems I've had with other brands is that they often don't burn after the initially shiny stuff that's supposed to do the trick is done. Too many times I had to use a small butane torch to light the charcoal after the shiny substance was ready and then the charcoal would not burn evenly and would burn out completely. I've also had charcoal…

Pros
  • Excellent general properties
Cons
  • I doubt it

Meets my needs, shines well, burns well.

Used in a rocking censor for the Divine Liturgy in a very small space (I'm a priest). This works very well in this context for two reasons. First, since the room is small, I burn very little incense to keep the room from getting smoky. So I don't need big coal. I broke the big ones in half. Second, since this is a small room (chapel) and not a church, I don't have to go around with the censorship around the church and the like. So the charcoal does not have to burn for so long. If for some…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
