I wish it would try less to be a perfect flush fit and be compatible with most adapters as I feel like it's not quite 100% on mine fits. I have to rotate it a bit to make contact I'm guessing all the way down. Most likely not enough. Voltage on the money versus my Fluke voltmeter. I don't see the ampere reading on the USB connection as some people have claimed, I only saw voltages that matched the specs.

With all the hype surrounding bizarre electronics charging circuitry, it was disappointing to find that the voltage reading was about 0.2 volts above the voltage range I've experienced (from about 11 to over 14 volts, the latter when charging from solar). My ScanGauge and a separate voltmeter agree with this assessment. I chose this device because of the voltmeter function. But even without using it to ask enough to comment on that use I gave it three stars.

I ordered this to monitor the bus battery level in my motorhome. The USB connections seem to work fine, but the voltmeter differs from two professional voltmeters by more than 0.1 volts. (It reads 12.5 volts when it's actually 12.73 volts.) You may not care, but I do. That's the difference between a battery being 60 or 70 percent, or between 90 and 100 percent. Even my cheap handheld multimeters are much more accurate than these.

My cars are old and don't have built in USB ports. An unexpected feature that makes it better than a regular USB port is the voltage indicator. If your car battery has failed or there is some other problem with your car's electrical system, this charger's USB port will show low or high voltage. It's a nice feature that I wasn't expecting and that could save me a lot of trouble. Bad batteries often give little warning of an imminent failure. This should indicate a voltage drop sooner. I used this (with special cable) to get my Revain Show 5 working in my converted van. Not only does it provide enough power to run a show AND power my phone at the same time. it also keeps me from getting stuck by accidentally leaving the lights on when sitting in the back of the van enjoying a show on Revain Prime. As? When the battery is low, it will flash to get your attention and let you know the battery needs service. It's great NOT to be stranded when traveling in a van. Thanks very much!

So far, so good. My main reason for purchasing this USB car charger with digital voltage and current display is to monitor the output voltage of my truck's alternator. It's fairly accurate by comparing the voltage readings to my Fluke DMM which I compared to a real Fluke. The device reads 0.1 volts less than my multimeter reads, which is close enough for me.
