Incredible possibilities, terrible directions.

This machine has so many features but no instructions. Not my first tester or test device in general and still a little confused by so many menus and submenus with tiny buttons. I almost wish it was 3x bigger so my sausage fingers don't have to press 3 buttons at once every time.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • There are defects

Great tool for debugging loads!

Very useful to know why some devices don't work with certain chargers or why charging is slower than expected. For example, I found out that Apple's 87w charger only advertises 5v 3a, 9v 3a and 20v 3a with a maximum output of 60w which explains why it doesn't work with a device that requires 15V. The Apple charger 96W provides 5V 3A, 9V 3A, 15V 3A and 20V 4.7A. The problem is that there is no data connection because some devices cannot be charged, e.g. B. the PS5 DualSense controller, which is…

This is a performance/current tester only, USB data will NOT work!

TL;DR USB DATA doesn't work if you just want to test chargers, that's good, otherwise keep looking. I bought this specifically to test the power consumption of some embedded development boards in different power saving modes and I was happy to pay more for the accuracy. While this device is good at measuring detail, it seems to be doing something very wrong with the data lines as I can't seem to get any device to enumerate correctly when connected through the device. I've contacted support…

Pros
  • Not only usable for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Annoyed

Powerful tester for its size

Incredibly powerful tester for its size, the only one that supports PD 3.1 protocols. I tested almost all options and it works as it should. I have tested all my chargers and cables, they are accurate and convenient. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to connect wirelessly to my smartphone. I don't care if they're sold as an upgrade kit, but that's the only thing it's missing. Everything looks promising. Reminder for buyers: Whether you need to update the firmware before using…

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel

First New USB-C Tester EPR

I bought my device in China for $70. As this is a Chinese product and a fairly new product, there is no user manual yet and there is no online support yet. There is no English user manual for this product. Overall this device looks good. Works well as long as you don't mind jumping into a few playgrounds, one of which is to learn how to use this product without a manual. To make things even more difficult, you need to change the language on your device from Chinese to English using the…

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
