I use it to make soap and it has worked great for over a dozen batches. I think most things peel off more easily, but if you're also making soap, understand that you'll probably need to hand wash under the blades to get them completely clean. It's ok though, it's powerful, easy to use, easy to assemble and disassemble. and I would describe it as good value for money.

Wish you didn't have to hold down a button to use it, but other than that it's great. Made a creamy blue cheese dressing for a Swiss cheese and mushroom burger. The 12 speed seems overrated. Once you get to around 5 it won't make much of a difference, but I've only used it once so that's it. I like that the blade has a plastic body so I don't have to worry about scratching anything. That was the main reason I bought it.

We had a plastic model (different brand) that worked fine for 10 years but in the end the bearing froze in the leg so we got the Chefman. I suspect they all use the same bearing and seal design, so time will tell if this holds up (or not). My wife prefers the metal construction of the Chefman. Since the blade is permanently fixed, you have to stuff a washcloth behind it to clean it - and you risk cutting your finger. But I think they are all the same. It works well.

So I bought it in the fall and luckily Revain has a very long return window at this point. This is a VERY powerful machine, but the body is terrible. The stick itself smells bad and looks cheap. This was a replacement for our Kitchenaid model which lasted many years before finally succumbing to aging and wear. Received on August 14th, it is now August 25th and part of the rod is fully stuck in the motor and cannot be detached. This is a great hand blender. not better. Regardless of the brand, everything burns out after about 1 year of use (which is why I aim for a 1 year guarantee), ie I mix my breakfast shake every day.
