Chemical Guys SPI_193_16 Convertible Protectant Review

I used this product last week and followed the directions on the Chemical Guys You Tube. The next day I did a water test, the results weren't very good. Anyway, that's why I'm still looking for another product that actually works.

2nd bottle ordered and used Absolutely great product! Keeps my 2006 C6 Corvette's upper looking new every time I treat it. Will keep using it!

First clean the top with CG Top Cleaner and let the top dry. Water like a duck's back. I applied it twice the first time I made the top, after that just one application is enough.

I've been using this on my convertible top for 3 years now and the results are excellent. It protects from the Las Vegas sun and this car spends the day outside. This is a Bentley Continental GTC. I recommend using this product, but don't take shortcuts. Make sure the material is clean and follow the instructions.

I applied two coats to the top of my Mustang GT Convertible. It's in perfect condition, clean, I followed the instructions but it's nowhere near as water resistant as the photos and videos show. Works a little but isn't worth $18 a bottle (essentially done after I applied two coats). I am very disappointed and will NOT buy it again.

This time I tried Chemical Guys (Top Treatment Season 3). I applied several coats of this product exactly according to the manufacturer's instructions. Water does not roll off the roof like a G-Techniq product I have used in the past. Very disappointed as preparing the surfaces and sticking the gum on is time consuming to do just one more time.

I first used this product about 2 years ago when I used the Convertible Top Cleaner & Protector. The top was fairly clean this time but looked a bit faded. This is a 20 year old Mercedes CLK 430 Cabrio and I have used it for its intended purpose (2 shifts) and I certify that it looks like new. I want to upload an image, but I'm having technical problems. (:[ I would highly recommend any Chemical Guys product.

I am the owner of Diamond Auto Detailing in Chesapeake, Virginia. I usually use a quartz protective cloth, but decided to give it a try. Absolute worst product I have used from chemists. I'm angry I wasted my money on this. No protection and no hydrophobic effect. I followed the directions to the tee. I even watched a few of their videos on how to use it. So I know it's not a problem for me. DO NOT BUY. HORRIBLE PRODUCT
