Chemical Guys dilutes (reformulates) the product sold at Revain

When I order this VRP product from Chemical Guys, Auto Geek, it's a great product, nice and thick, just the way it should be. When I order this product from Revain everything is watered down, super thin and poor quality. I contacted Chemical Guys and this guy told me they were reformulating the products to sell Revain (meaning dilute to increase profits). One of the most famous Youtube experts from Auto Detail also said this on his channel, warning his subscribers that this happens with quite a

Great product when used correctly

So many negative reviews it's annoying. I've been using the guys chemical products for years and when used properly they work as advertised. Thoroughly clean any surface it is applied to, if it is external plastic or rubber ensure the surface is free of grease and oils. I apply it with a special brush or applicator (usually heavier than necessary) and let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe off the excess with a clean microfiber. It doesn't attract dust in the rain or bright light and when it…

Do not buy! Doesn't work as advertised

I bought this product to restore the outer plastic trim. Read the description carefully, it says it repels WATER! so it is of course continued on the outer plastic paneling. NOT CORRECT! it was washed off immediately after curing for 5 days. It claims to restore exterior finishes and last, WRONG! I understand why professional detailers don't recommend Chemical Guy's. I have diligently studied this expressive product. The description says satisfaction guaranteed, WRONG! I contacted Chemical Guy…

Washes off quickly with Wheel Care

I have used this on new plastic and it has faded a bit. After application it looks decent, but not particularly in the rain. Surely there are better options. I recently started using optimal opti-bond tire gel and noticed how short the lifespan of the VRP actually was. I cleaned and dried the plastic trash can lid and did a side-by-side comparison. I know it's a dumpster, but it's plastic and exposed to direct sunlight and rain. So the test lasted one day. I am attaching a picture where the VRP

Some caveats. Rating updated:

This is my sixth CG product. I bought 4 bottles to try. It has worked wonders for the rubber and vinyl surfaces, as well as the textured and smooth plastic surfaces inside and out of my car. This gave them back the new factory look. After reading mixed reviews about tire durability, I tested a small patch. If I think about it, I'll update this review for rain durability. I prefer the super high gloss, wear your lipstick in that type of lipstick that very few people like and I don't expect it to
