SWITCH TO POSITIVE FEEDBACK 10/05/2020: So I gave this product another try. This time I prepped the surface with Chemical Guys Oil and Wax Cleaner/Remover. Then apply tire and trim gel. Cleaning and preparation are required. I've applied gel to all of the burnt plastic on my F150 (door handles, rubber around the windows, plastic under the windshield where the wipers are, even tried on the driver's interior door). I bought this product for my car as tire gel and also to restore my girlfriend's black plastic SUV bumpers. First, it's very easy to apply (foam pad and little dots, work on it as you go). Gives the surface a good shine. But then don't feel dry. I usually wipe it down afterwards with a dirty, used microfiber cloth to remove excess product and add shine. Great for restoring faded automotive plastics

Although marketed as 'Tire & Trim' and works well on tires I was interested in the finish. I have a couple of old cars (Volvo 2001 and Durango 2002). The paintwork is immaculate and they are in good condition. Plastic trim parts such. B. Molded body parts, have become significantly dull and gray over the years due to exposure to sunlight, salt, etc. On the Volvo these panels are dark gray when new, while on the Durango they are black.
