Bad part, defective packaging. Do yourself a favor and get a better one, otherwise you'll have to do this job more than once.

Specific Engine Code

Be careful as my mechanic advised that there are 4 different types of PCV valves for the TSI engine. You need the engine code, not the VIN. I had to send mine back because the rear main oil seal had burned out.

Fits all but one hose. it was too short (for 2010 VW GTI) Had to reuse the old one. Same as OEM. unfortunately also made of plastic. Everything seems fine at first, but the long-term quality is unknown. * I will update within 6 months.

Don't order this PCV valve, order an OEM product directly from Volkswagen.

The manufacturer makes great claims on this particular product and offers a 12 month warranty and friendly customer service if you have any problems. I bought this product in June to save money over an OEM product, especially with a warranty, but in September the car started burning a quart of oil every 500 miles. I spent over $100 on a mechanic to determine that the PCV valve had failed and was depositing oil in the crankcase. I contacted Cheriezing directly and was told that as I bought it…
