Chicago Cutlery is a great range of cutlery for everyday use. Quality and value are embedded in the knives. I lost a whole set of wooden boards and somehow a steak knife. My set is complete again and they fit together perfectly.

Bought to replace steak knives from a great set of Chicago cutlery blocks I have but was very disappointed. They are not sharp with a thin, fairly thin blade and cut unevenly. Don't waste money on them.

The knives are what you would expect for the price. They looked like some of the other Chicago Cutlery knives I have and are way better, so I was expecting more. They cut more like a saw than a knife and because they are serrated they are not easy to sharpen. They also have thinner grips than my original ones. I wish I had bought a little more cautiously and found better ones.

So far it's been very sharp and I've been using it for a few months. It's very light, making it good for chopping up vegetables and herbs, but can be a bit unwieldy when slicing up a whole chicken. I know you have to hand wash your knives, but I just toss them in the top rack of the dishwasher and voila! It's holding up so far and for the price you can't beat it!

I was looking for an inexpensive chef's knife and found it in this Chicago cutlery knife. The knife itself has a good solid weight and doesn't look cheaply made. It comes in a hard plastic case that can be stored for safekeeping. I have to say this isn't the sharpest knife but it worked fine from the start. I don't have any reviews yet because I just ordered them. People leave reviews about slicing vegetables and bread and rate them about it. I thought they were steak knives. I have a full set of Chicago cutlery and this is the best set I have ever had. Very sharp. I have bandaged fingers to prove it. The steak knives I have with this set are not serrated so I ordered them. My husband doesn't believe it's a real steak knife if it doesn't have a serrated edge. Find out. I will post another review…
