Warning - wheels popped out of socket

After 30 minutes of use I fell and slightly sprained my ankle when the two rear wheels on the right skate popped out of the socket. I used a wrench to put them back in place and then noticed that the left skate's front wheels were pointing in slightly, so I was always leaning to the right when rolling. I packed this to return after having had them for less than an hour. The next day I just went to the rink and rented their skates and the rent was ten times better because they were easier to…

Great pair for beginners for the price

My daughter (10) bought these skates as her first set of skates. She loves them and has been using them almost every day for a month. Their only complaints were: - that the tongue isn't in the right position and likes to deviate from the laces no matter how tight she ties them - the toe stopper on one of the skates becomes loose - we have to tighten the screw every time we use it . Overall I am very satisfied with the product as a beginner skate. We weren't interested in buying high end skates…

Cheaply Made - Sport

These skates are high quality at no tension. The trunk and panel are plastic with poor construction. She first put them on for skating, and both toe stops fell out at different times. The trick is that you have to make sure the part it's going to screw into is aligned. I asked the guy who rented the skates to help us tighten them. The wheels are cheap and need adjustment. Luckily her foot is growing and she needs new skates before we know. I forgot to mention how the boot was scratched the…

Absolutely adorable with a durable wheel!

First off, can we talk about HOW CUTE THESE SKATES ARE?! I was just blown away by how cute they are in real life! The first day my toddler used them, several people asked where they were from and if they were adult sizes! They are very comfortable and I have had no complaints! They worked so well on gravel, pavement, rocks, driveway and bumps! They have very strong and heavy wheels that stay on the ground. They are very easy to maneuver and offer excellent stability for both beginners and…

Defective skates - stoppers come loose and cause falls!

I bought 3 pairs of these skates for my daughters. The first day my soon to be 12 year old tried them and fell because when she stopped the stopper came loose and she fell. She went to the emergency room because she couldn't move her wrist or rotate her hand. Now she has to go to the orthopedist. Three days later one of my 10 year old twin girls was skating and her stopper came off, luckily she didn't fall, her dad put it back on and the next day it came off again. These are defective skates…

They are alright. on skates, skateboards, and scooters

I am a skater and often make my own skates. With that in mind - here's my take on them. Chicago is an old legendary inline skate company that used to make quality skates. The skates themselves are not high quality but on par with other inferior amateur skates online with fancy bells and whistles. Everything is vinyl. You will NOT get the skin without investing real money, but you don't have to either. There is nothing wrong with vinyl skates. I would say most personal skates are like that. The…
