High quality index at a very reasonable price. I do a lot of small fine jewelry work and over the years I have amassed a small box full of small drill bits and finally decided to clean up the mess. Grab your drill gauge (I used the Huot drill gauge for wire gauges from #1 to #60, and you're ready to organize your messy workbench.

classic index. It works

I was expecting this to be a regular Huot stamped index and it could be, but it's not branded or US tagged in any way other than the CL -Label on it. It looks like the same quality rating as Huot and good kits - no, not like the good old days, but about like what we've seen in the last 25-30 years. Of course, it seems to me that this is Huot. The bits fit well and don't fall out, the trays move easily (the smallest tray is a bit stiff which I think is nice). I bought it to hold a cheaper set of

Cheap, flimsy, but (mostly) functional.

This is a normal value for the price. It's certainly not as strong as the drill index I inherited from my father (as expected given the price), but it's on the verge of becoming too brittle. I don't know anything about the accuracy of the hole sizes, other than that each bit went where it was supposed to. The main downside is that the case is too short for the first row of bits (the longest/largest) so their tips will scratch the top of the case if you fold that row into an index, and worse…
