Review on Latrobe Drill Capacity Gauge for Cutting Tools in Chicago by Srinivas Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cheap, flimsy, but (mostly) functional.

This is a normal value for the price. It's certainly not as strong as the drill index I inherited from my father (as expected given the price), but it's on the verge of becoming too brittle. I don't know anything about the accuracy of the hole sizes, other than that each bit went where it was supposed to. The main downside is that the case is too short for the first row of bits (the longest/largest) so their tips will scratch the top of the case if you fold that row into an index, and worse, you have to Use a screwdriver, popsicle, or similar pry to pry the row back off the body. I didn't return it however, but if you drill and tap a lot (which I don't) I'd recommend looking for something better designed and made; Additional costs are justified.
