This item is very pretty and our bearded dragon loves it! At first he tried to eat vegetables. But we wanted to use it as Earp's water bowl. We poured water and walked away and it was empty when we came back after 2 minutes too. In the slab itself there were many holes from which water flowed. However, we liked the dish so much that we are now using it for Earps Greens. I wouldn't recommend it for storing liquids but it's very pretty and would make a great meal bowl!

It is repeatedly written that it is leaking. I think you are confusing leakage with evaporation. It's not very deep and it evaporates about 1/3 of the water or more in a day and I built it in an exoterrium in the tall rainforest with about 2 inches of coconut bush on the ground between the pool and the heater. I ordered this for a gecko cage, partly for decoration and partly to keep the humidity high. It's adorable up close, but I wasn't expecting that there are two significant holes in the base, big enough for a small or baby gecko to get under and hide. My husband sanded the edges of the holes inside because there were a few sharp edges so it's safer now, but I'll put this in the big gecko cage anyway.
