These trays make large ice cubes, are easy to remove from the tray and are fairly durable. After reading some of the reviews I cleaned the trays by boiling them first. One of the trays came out clean, but the other definitely left weird marks. I had a lot of floaters in my glass and water after using the ice. I had to boil the tray again in hot water and leave it there for about 5 minutes. I checked the ice again and this time there were no marks. Absolutely don't expect this tray to be cleaned

I ordered these because I share a freezer with a roommate and don't have much space. She never had ice cream bowls and I wish I could make shakes and smoothies but regular sized bowls would take up a lot more space. So I found these. They are perfect for 1 person. Both bowls are more than enough to make a smoothie or shake in a blender. I use these things every week! The lids are flimsy and loose, but that's just part of the silicone ice trays they're not designed to seal. I don't mind because I can stack these trays on top of each other without sticking together. I always use a small casserole dish to put them in, fill the mold with it, and then put it in the freezer so everything stays even. You can put them in the freezer without this, but it's a lot harder not to spill. Sure, they're not as strong as plastic ice cube…
