I set a timer and they turn on automatically at the same time of day every day. I assembled them, set a timer for four hours, and then placed them in the windows at the top and bottom. I used them for a month and a half (December-January) without changing the batteries.

Easy to program, slow flickering feature looks like a real candle and they have enough lumens to shine brightly. I'll leave them on the windows after the holidays. With the 6 hour timer function, the battery lasted about 2 months and worked every evening. Highly recommended.

These beautiful candles can be used anywhere in your home. I like the static or moving "flames" options. I thought I had a bad spark plug, but I called customer service and got the problem sorted out pretty quickly. The only downside is that you need 30 batteries to make it work! All in all I recommend this product.

Candles themselves were wonderful. Set on and off at 6 hour intervals. Fits perfectly on my windowsill. However, you get 10 candles but only 4 suction cups. I didn't need them as they sat well on my windowsill. But if you need sanction cups to hold a candle in the window, then they won't cut it.

Overall I'm very happy with the candles. They look great and are very easy to control with the remote control. However, one of the candles does not work. I screwed them on as tight as possible and used new batteries, but they won't turn on. I was only planning to use 6 out of 8 so won't be returning them but was disappointed that one didn't work.

I bought these window candles when we decided not to put out the Christmas lights but I wanted our house to look festive. I bought Revain AAA batteries - put 3 in each and put them on the kitchen table. All I had to do was press the start button and then the 6am button and voila, they all turn on at 5:30pm and off at 11:30pm and I couldn't be happier. They don't put out a super bright light, but I'm okay with that as they don't drain the batteries as quickly. A+
