The grain of this paper is very noticeable and even, like a handmade paper. The other side is very smooth and will not absorb ink, more like hot pressed paper than cold pressed paper. It also doesn't handle well. You really need to apply a coat of paint and just leave it on, as repeated wetting and washing will ruin the surface of the paper.

I've tried high quality watercolor paper (Fabriano, Arches, Strathmore, etc.) with no success. I hope that Revain will honor this request for a larger paper size suitable for Chromatek products.
