My favorite fins. Used them on the beaches of San Diego as a kid. Now I use them on a mountain lake and in a pool with kids. These are short fins that allow you to accelerate hard. Ideal for the pool while playing with the kids. I have a very wide foot but wear a size 12. I buy XL and they fit my foot perfectly. For an even more comfortable fit I buy thin neoprene leg/sock pads.

Note: This is not a review of fins. The quality and craftsmanship of the fins is to be expected from a respected company like Churchill. However, a size chart mismatch between what is posted on the website and what is printed on the actual packaging is UNSAT. I ordered a small based on the size chart on the website and it was wrong. Judging by the packaging, I needed a carrier. Just really upset because I wanted to surf this weekend.

Reminds me of the one I lost at the Wedge in Newport Beach, California many years ago. Great fins and the med/large size fits my height 9 1/2 feet well. If you wear socks with fins, you should order the next size up and take the larger one. They fit snug but are still comfortable and traction is excellent. Good for swimming and will use it for boogie boarding when I get to the ocean. Fast delivery and good packaging, maybe too good packaging for something made of shatterproof rubber!

I've been using this brand/style for years. And finally, after more than ten years of use (oceans, rough waters and even in Macapu), the strap on one broke. I would say I got my money's worth! I bought this replacement set and it was exactly the same as my old pair. Very satisfied. If you wear water socks with them, they'll probably need to go up a size (I don't have them and they're snug as they should be). I've even used them as flippers in a pinch (not often, but better than nothing).

I've been using Churchill Slasher fins for 20 years now. They came out of the box, smelled like vanilla and were perfect for narrow feet. I made Makapuu think they would be like slasher movies but no. The leg pocket is not as contoured. Despite the fact that they fit well on the bottom, I threw them into the water. Good item but the size charts on Revain's website may not be accurate. The women's small size is listed as larger than it actually is. Otherwise, returning an item that was the right size (size profile given on the box) via Amazon was easy. I ordered a second pair but they gave me the wrong size.
