Backlight turns off after 15 seconds

I don't know if it's broken, but the backlight turns off after 15 seconds. I don't see any manual instructions for delaying the backlight. I increased the scale's auto-off setting to 120 seconds to see if that helps. Not. I use it to weigh the espresso as it comes into the cup. Adding espresso weight has no effect, still disabled.

The scale is tiny, don't look at the pictures

The company really needs to emphasize the size of the scale more. My fault for taking this at face value based on the photos. The photos I've attached show my hand and iPhone 11 for scale. It honestly works and I hope it's accurate, but the portions are very small and I don't trust measuring large amounts of anything or bread dough (particularly why I bought a scale).

Sleek little cute kitchen scale for all your basic needs. And it's rechargeable!

Great boy. Bought for minimal home use in the kitchen. Weighing out the coffee grounds for that golden cup, or weighing out some dry baking ingredients (which I think is the best way to accurately bake and share a recipe. American recipes and chefs should make more use of this form of measurement. "Mugs" are for birdies when it comes to baking) The scale is too small, but I knew that from the description. It has a pair of hard plastic lids that can be used as a small bowl and keep limescale…
