A worthy solution for semi-permanent installation.

Flat suction cups with strong adhesive for a secure fit. This may be fine for a semi-permanent mount, but the adhesive makes them very difficult to remove (not ideal if you change them after each have to remove flight). Also, I had to make some suction caps to keep the glue from getting dirty. Generally so-so.

Doesn't stick after one time detachment

I read all the 5 star reviews and bought this product. I use it to hold my landing pad. Once I had to take it off while traveling. I unlocked the suction cups and removed the assembly. When I went to replace the assembly I made sure to clean the cups then the glass and I attached the cups without the tray (no weight). In the bright sun, the suction cups fell off by themselves twice. I think the adhesive that's in there when shipped is critical to performance. Once you take them off, you can't…

The SUV looks pretty solid.

I drive an air tractor trailer and a 3 axle suspension dump truck in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. No matter what brand of suction cup mount I've ever used while crossing the Commodore Barry Bridge in any direction, GPS, phone mount, dash cam, you name it, it fell off the windshield. I'm a little excited to try this dual cup mount to see if it can handle those crappy roads and bridges that our road taxes don't fix.
