NOT UNIVERSAL BUT WORKS WELL ON A 2017 CHEVY TAHOE WITH MINOR MODIFICATIONS

These are quality mirrors but they may only work on SOME VEHICLES. I would like to have a database of these ratings. Many people LOST a mirror there because of the bad friction of the smooth surface inner jaw! Before use, I sanded the inner sponge with a rasp file. The next problem is that the 2015-2018 Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban mirrors. will give way a bit in the first few hours. The movement of the Power Mirror glass has not been affected at all. I found that gripping the clamp caused the mirror

Great alternative if you have no other alternative!

I have a 2008 Lincoln Navigator that I tow and I used to have another set of mirrors that I really didn't like. This set fits perfectly and I can adjust to my needs to see from the side of the trailer and even behind it. I was concerned that the vibration might be too strong, but it wasn't as my OEM bugs are pretty severe. The only thing I really wish the product had was a strap that I could tie around the mirror so that in the event they become loose and fall off, the strap will catch them. I…

Total junk - tow hitches and winches

They were pretty easy to put on at first but that's about the only good thing I can say about them. The adjustment knob on the mirror itself was so tight that I had to use pliers to loosen it. After that they seemed fine, well, as long as you're not driving your truck. They were in a good mood, but I could live with that. The problem started as soon as I accelerated onto the freeway and the problem was the one I had on the driver's side flew off at 70mph and made a small dent in my bed. I know…

I like the degree of inward and outward adjustment and the corners

I like the degree of inward and outward adjustment and the corners. And you can remove the clips, flip and rotate the mirror to attach to the underside of the truck mirror frame, greatly reducing mirror wobble. I don't know if this will work on all trucks, but this is the best way to install it on my 2001 Dodge Ram. I felt like I saw things at their true distance and magnitude. I'm disappointed because they seem to bulge and don't show the true size and distance of what you're looking at. This…

The best clip on the mirror I have not seen for towing!

I tow a lot! Boats, caravans, vans, you name it, I've pulled it. I've had CIPA custom mirror caps, suction cup mirrors, a front fender clamp on the mirrors, and one, I repeat, NONE that fitted as quickly, fit so well, offered such a large field of view, and was just as easy to install and remove these mirrors! I rarely write reviews but this is a product I literally cannot live without as we have a brand new camper van. The fittings are all metal except for the mirror itself and the rubber feet

Great Universal Towing Mirrors

I bought these mirrors to use on my 2016 Toyota 4Runner to tow a 29ft 3" travel trailer. I did a lot of research and read many reviews on other universal towing mirrors before finally deciding on this one. There are no specific towing mirrors for this particular vehicle, so all options were universal. I have to say that I don't usually do product reviews, but I think this product deserves one. The mirrors are supplied well packaged, 1 mirror per carton, which can be used on either side of the…

The best universal mirror. Unfortunately.

This mirror isn't perfect, but after trying many other styles I've found it to be the only general purpose mirror that actually works as a decent towing mirror. The other universal mirror is that you can extend it much further, meaning you can actually see beyond your pendant, which is the whole point of these things after all. Most other universal mirrors, including other CIPA mirrors, are universally useless in this regard. It's quick to put on and take off, and best of all, it won't…

  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Poor performance

Maybe the mirror doesn't fit.

Works great on my '07 Dodge Dakota. Many customizations are available. I can see how they can press some mirrors badly. If your mirror is thick and there seems to be a lot of air in the shell then I don't know if this will work well. My truck's mirror housing seems solid, a thickness. In some cases I think it will be difficult to keep the original mirror in the position you use it for daily driving. The mirror surface is slightly convex and not very sharp, just a little fuzzy, but you can…
