Circuit Performance Black Aluminum Valve Review

I wish I could give them a zero. Just a few months and one winter in Michigan. Valve stem corroded, had to replace stem. So as long as they aren't exposed to water, dirt or salt, they're fine. Good thing they are on wheels and free from all that.

They are very stylish and looked amazing on my truck. The downside to this is that there were no warnings that putting metal caps on the fibulae would cause them to stick together. They had to replace all 4 valve stems on my truck tires. Now I know how to apply lubricant to threads.

I'm giving them a low rating because of an issue I didn't foresee. These aluminum caps do corrode over time, which unfortunately and unknowingly I have not seen. I had to take the cap off at a tire shop when my tire ran out of air. These caps are good quality which deserves my 2 star rating but any type like this cannot avoid corrosion.

See title. These caps look great, but without a special anti-seize coating applied to the threads of these raw aluminum caps, you will find them impossible to remove. I go to the dealer to replace all the valve stems because I just couldn't get the caps off even though I tried loosening the threads with a liquid wrench. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE CAPS.

I see a lot of people saying they stick to valve stems. I think they might have cut them across, or maybe their valve stems weren't protected before. I bought these to replace the commonly found plastic bottles that we all know and love the way they look. The only thing I don't like is that I forgot to put it on when I inflated the tire! So I'm ordering more now!

Excellent quality, solid construction! ONLY complain that I have a price! I've been looking for these caps for a long time and finally decided to stop at the circuit caps as the others just weren't suitable. I found either too cheap or these "too expensive". If they can somehow lower the price, I'm sure sales will skyrocket. (Less profit but more sales, the profit for the sellers still remains the same but is highly appreciated by a larger group of buyers)

I didn't even think about it when I ordered and installed them. I'm at -25 degrees and my TPMS has tripped and I can't turn off any of the four. I tried heating it and prying it off with pliers and now the stem is cracked and leaking. Now I have to buy a new TPMS for $$$$. You look good? Yes. But the $5 cost now turns into a few hundred dollar fix to take care of all 4 tires. Galvanic corrosion occurs on two different metals, so ANY aluminum caps have the same effect. Stick to plastic. This review is about the quality and design of the product, not the bag being shorted out by a computer controlled machine loading small aluminum valve caps into a small plastic bag. I sympathize with the person who was short circuited but this is not life changing and shouldn't be here. There is room for this in packaging and shipping.
