Circuit Performance 7-Point Star Spline Lug Nut Key Tool in Black Review

I bought this twice from the same manufacturer and both are split. I don't believe that high quality broom materials are used or the design of the tool is flawed and more metal support should be added around the tool to keep it from chipping. I would look elsewhere but that's the only company that makes this design and that's where it stuck to my car.

Love the lug nuts I got but the last time I used this wrench it broke in 3 places on the sides! I don't know how it happened but I'm glad spare keys are sold separately.

I'm glad I bought two, the first went through 2 wheels before splitting as you can see in other customer photos. I had to buy these offline keys because the original key only survived 2 wheel changes before being taken apart. When they work they work and are quite strong but once you tighten them too many times they open up and you have to wait for a replacement with or without wheels on the car.

Cracks if tabs are overtightened. Had no trouble installing and removing, they have been tightened to 80lbf dozens of times. After being beaten at the tire shop, the tool broke when I tried to take them off. It was very difficult to remove the tabs afterwards, so I know the star tabs are effective as locking tabs. I bought a set of chain eye nuts and installed them in the middle of summer with the included 7 point spline tool. When I went to swap tires yesterday, two wheels came off and the spline tool broke. It broke along the entire length of the outlet. I used the hand tool that came with my Nissan Altima to loosen the lug nuts, I didn't use any electric or pneumatic tools.
