well designed and built

Looks like high quality plastic; easy to assemble. The instructions are also well done, although you don't need them. Haven't used it yet, I'm waiting for family heirloom tomatoes in the summer. I figured I'd buy it before I needed it. The manual warns you to only use it on tomatoes or similar fruits with high water content.

Saved me a lot of steps

I made tomato sauce from homemade tomatoes and I boiled water to loosen the skin and then put the chopped tomatoes in a blender to blend them and then boil it was a Since I have a kitchen blender I decided to try this and it's great. All you have to do is deseed the tomatoes, cut them into small pieces and press on the shoot and you've got the seeds and skin in one side and the juice on the other, I think that is the best. If I could I would give 10 stars

Fantastic product - does exactly what it says

I've been making homemade tomato sauce for years and while they're great this tool eliminates the need to blanch and ice bath all the tomatoes to make them to delete. I usually don't care about removing the seeds, but now that this tool is doing it I can see how much it improves the final sauce. The seed flavor remains perfectly (and surprisingly) fresh even after several hours of cooking. I love this product!

Broke on third use

I love this product but the retaining ring broke on the third use. I'm in the middle of tomato season without a sieve. It worked great, was easy to use and the machine delivered 100% juice. Wonderful! The company must reinforce the retaining ring or make it out of metal. Other machines on the market aren't half as good at 4x the price, but this ring needs fixing. It's a little inconvenient to swipe skins off the screen, but that's a small price to pay for ease of use. Please fasten the ring and

Device didn't work as hoped, Cirillo made a good impression

We bought this item hoping it would help us to handle the extraordinarily large amount of blackberries we have this season. Unfortunately, this product is designed to process fruits with a high moisture to pulp ratio (like tomatoes, apples, etc.) rather than berries with a high percentage of seeds and pulp and liquid like blackberries. Cirillo responded to our email within 24 hours, provided excellent customer service with multiple solutions, and turned what might have been a bad experience…

Good device but paid more than I should have

I really like the product and it arrived very well packaged with good instructions. I argued for a long time between Cerillo and Kitchen Attachment, in the end I chose Cerillo and I'm glad I did. Took me a few minutes to make a passata tomato sauce out of this. This was my first time making tomato sauce but I've watched countless videos on how to make it. I chose to blanch the tomatoes for a few minutes until the skin crackles, but the instructions say this isn't necessary. The nozzle washes…

Absolute game changer

I don't usually write reviews on Revain but I love this thing so much I feel like I have one too. First, the filter is mostly made of plastic, which is hard to the touch. And under no circumstances during assembly or use did I feel that any part was under tension or about to break. Speaking of assembly, it's very easy to do! Contrary to the product instructions, I left out cooked tomatoes for a juicier product rather than the savory product that shines in videos/photos. Despite what their…

THE ONLY REVIEW YOU NEED TO READ

The Cirillo Fruit Strainer works exactly as advertised on tomatoes! Making tomato sauce is hard, dirty work. Anyone complaining about this product is obviously new to the kitchen and has never had to struggle with any of the 'traditional' plates! I've used this screen on four separate occasions and processed over 25 pounds of plum tomatoes on each of those occasions. I'm not a fan of plastic tools, but it turns out the right kind of hard and durable plastic was used in the design, construction…
