Flawless installation in less than 30 minutes!

I had a Linksys router and wireless access point, the router started going crazy, so I decided to replace them both with this wireless router. DSL modem straight to your computer, once you can connect to the internet everything else becomes a breeze. I unplugged my main computer from my old router and plugged it directly into a Verizon DSL modem. Computer turned on and was able to access the internet immediately. Once you are able to, insert the CD that came with this router and follow the…

Good upgrade. suitable for networking products

I've been using a Linksys 802.11b wireless router for my mixed (wired and wireless) network for 3 years. The old router often hung and had to be restarted almost every week. The software update didn't help at all. I chose 802.11g and I'm glad I did. I just unplugged the old router, plugged this one in and voila! I was on my feet. Since I don't use encryption (too far from the road to worry) it took about a minute to set up. Fortunately, my Linksys Wireless Signal Booster (WSB24) works well with

Well! Networking Products

This router is basically a WRT54G with the addition of Linksys Speedbooster technology. It can serve all 802.11g networks as well as older 802.11b networks. Or it can serve a network composed of a mixture of these two standards. In short, this is a very versatile router. The Speedbooster technology offers an additional increase in network speed over the typical 802.11g standard of 54 Mbit/s. This is very useful when you want to transfer large files between computers. The extra speed should help

Good product among routers

I had trouble setting up this router because I had to update the firmware which I didn't load before trying to set up the network. I installed the firmware update and immediately the problems were gone and the router setup was complete. Also, it doesn't seem to work at all with the Netgear "B" cards installed on some of my computers, so I need to update the cards. It's not necessarily bad, just expensive. Technical support was honest. I called during the initial install and worked with the tech

Linksys value for money

After purchasing this product, it along with other components, deteriorated within the first year. Linksys has a reliable program to replace a defective product with a refurbished product. Shipping of product to Linksys is at buyer's expense. The hardware is reliable for the price, which means there are far better routers out there for a lot of money. Another good product that worked was the Linksys Range Extender. Like many Linksys products, they are typically easy to install and connect. The…

Best Wireless G Router and Hotspot

As a Router: I bought this product 5 years ago to get internet access on several home devices as it has the best rated routers on Revain.com would have. So I won't tell you how good it is as a router. As an access point: But last year, when I moved into a new house, I needed to extend the network signal range for my house. And a hotspot was also needed for my internet phone and desktop computer which are disconnected from my router (due to the weird wiring in my house) and need a wired…

Impressive Linksys router

I have a typical home network with a desktop computer (wired) and a laptop with wireless connection and a shared printer. I had to buy a new wireless router because I switched from DSL to cable. My previous router (made by Westel) was quite touchy, dropping the wireless connection from time to time and it felt like I had to reboot both PCs once or twice a day because it couldn't connect to the internet or the PCs failed to connect or both. I just received this Linksys a few days ago and it's…

solid product. Great signal strength. Easy setup.

I chose this router for a number of reasons: 1) Stability 2) Ease of management/flexibility 3) Price Considering the above, I therefore decided to replace the underpowered previous DLink router . My experience with non-L and non-GS WRT54G routers led me to choose Linksys for real stability. I've used a number of other wireless routers and have seen Linksys models outperform other brands in the number of reboots required over a period of time. After the stability, I wanted something easy to use.

Great router for wireless networking, home use but not for gaming.

I'll keep it short and sweet. I've had this router for a few months now and it works great except when my PS3 is on. PS3 locks up the router and I have to unplug it to restart. This has become an annoying problem. I'm an IT security student, so I'm less worried than stellar traffic logs. Outbound traffic is visible all day, but inbound traffic was never shown. One minor complaint and I'm sure most people wouldn't care. The router was easy to set up. Of course, you need to be logged into the…
