Linksys WUSB600N Wireless-N Dual Band USB Network Adapter

When I was still using this product with the Linksys WRT610N Synchronous Dual Band Wireless Router, the signal strength was very inconsistent when it was working. It didn't matter where I tried to move the adapter or router, I could never get a consistently strong signal enough to keep my computer online at all because the Wi-Fi was down. And no, it wasn't the distance or too many barriers between them. Linksys customer service is a scam to trick us into paying for their phone and internet…

Pros
  • All right!

Very disappointing good for NICs

I've been a longtime Linksys customer for many years. Really never had a problem, I have always been satisfied with their products. I ordered this product because a Linksys rep told me it was the best choice for my old 300n. So I ordered and received it. To my dismay I got a very low signal strength. the maximum speed is 39 MB/s, while the "old" 300n, which is not compatible with Win7, reached 130 MB/s. in summary. I contacted support who made me run hundreds of checks on my router. I kept…

Terrible - after 4 hours the support service still didn't work

I've been doing wifi for many years. Set up a wireless office and home network with virtually no hassle. I've always used Linksys routers. I have four now. Three are the older Wireless-G model and one wired model. I've also used Linksys adapters for my three Xbox 360's with no problems, but this WUSB600N is useless at the pinnacle. I have a Linksys refurbished model. THIS WILL NOT CONNECT to my Linksys e2000 wireless router. When it connects, the internet is sporadic at best, if at all. I have…

Good performance; ideal for desktop computers

600N connects to a USB port. If you want to use it on a laptop, please note that it is thicker than a regular USB connector and may block nearby ports. It comes with a regular USB cable connected to a small stand, so thickness for a desktop isn't an issue - just connect the cable, slide the adapter into the stand and place it on a comfortable surface away. And the USB adapter is pulled out. a signal from a city Wi-Fi hotspot hooked up to a telephone pole across from my wife's office on a very…

Linksys WUSB600N= EASY!

I just bought an HP Pavilion Elite with Windows 7. I specifically ordered him and discussed a special order WiFi installation. Gave it up because the wireless ethernet modem was less than 4ft from the computer tower. Then we decided to rearrange the attic. The tower was now about 25 feet from the wireless modem. After making that decision, and the new HP was here with only an Ethernet connection, I went to AMAZON.com to look for a wireless adapter. My first attempt was unsuccessful because I…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • No insurance
