Surprisingly easy to use. We make a lot of apples in it and it works well. However, it takes two people to hold it over a 5 gallon bucket. In the winter I will build him a booth.

The product appears to be quite solid and of reasonably good quality. Unfortunately one of the pieces didn't have any holes drilled making assembly impossible until I find a friend with a drill press and HOPE mess it up drilling myself.

Batch feeding into the hopper in smaller amounts for better crushing works better.

I bought this to grind grapes for wine. I had to look at other products specifically for grapes as it grabs few and leaves many whole and untouched. Otherwise the parts were well made and there were no fit issues during assembly and the crank has good leverage to work with. It really takes two people to get it running, one to stabilize it and the other to crank it.

Before receiving this I used a food processor, chopped 3-5 apples at a time and put them in the press. It was a mess and lasted several hours. Now I grind right in the press after slicing gallons of apples. You need a way to hold it. I found I could steer with one hand, but it's uncomfortable and still a little fidgety. Maybe you can put some weights or bungee but I haven't tried it yet.

Stainless steel hopper with grooves on the bottom that are level and limit the free flow of apples. Now I've bent them a bit and the apples come through a lot better. This is how you can quickly work with apples with a cordless drill. . I use two square plastic buckets. I skip the apples a second time for a better crop, it only takes a few seconds. I also added some screws through the frame to keep it in place when sitting on the buckets.

I use the crusher for apples on the way to my apple press. MUCH easier than the big ol' cast iron meat grinder I used. I've found that I get a little more juice if I omit the applesauce a second time, and it only takes a few minutes. Cleaning with a garden hose is very easy. The device can be disassembled into two parts, which simplifies cleaning. My device occupies a hole in my sharpening station. I drilled 4 holes in the top of the table to accommodate the 4 rubber feet that hold it in place.
