How did I manage without a locking slider in my sewing workshop?

I just used this to trim my jeans while keeping the original edge. I absolutely love this gauge, it snaps into place, I've always used an old metal caliper and had to constantly adjust the caliper to the correct size. This 5:1 is fantastic. Watch the demo on YouTube online, they encouraged me to try it and I'm very happy that it lives in my sewing room now :0)

Very convenient. - Tools and tool kits

It's so convenient and so easy to use. It measures up to six inches in increments for partial measurements. It has grooves to keep it in place when measuring. The slider blocks your measurement. It measures in both directions. It has markings on both sides, the right side is upside down. Another feature are clear round keys. It has handles on the back. The green slider has a hole between the long slot. Use it to set the size of the circle and this little knob will rotate to form your circle…

Good idea, bad execution.

What a disappointment! I'm generally a fan of Nancy and her ideas, but it's not very helpful. First, it's flimsy plastic. I have to keep it out of the fray while stitching just to make sure it doesn't tear. Also, the slide sensor doesn't stay in place, despite a small plastic bracket meant to hold it. If everything was metal I would love it. There is a hole in the top of the rotating disk for drawing circles, but it is very small. A needle will fit, but not a T-Pen, which you may want to use…

I have always used my mother's small metal rulers but lately I have felt that this is insufficient, especially after coming across a small plastic indicator which is rare stayed in place while I used my rotary cutter. When I saw this line from Nancy Zieman, whose TV program I have always loved and was like a hero to me as I was developing my first sewing skills, I decided to give it a try and it worked really well. The indicator is hard to miss and stays in place until I decide to move it. I am

Premium sewing tool

I use this template almost every day in my sewing workshop. In fact, I liked the first one so much I bought two more - an extra one to take quilting groups with me and an extra one to use on the ironing board. This is a very high quality tool, especially considering it's made out of plastic. But I shouldn't be surprised, Nancy's Notions products are always top notch. It is a very useful tool for many purposes. I mainly use it to measure crotch and hem widths to keep my work straight, but you…

Money well spent

I bought this a few months ago when I decided to move from simple mending to sewing to real creations. I have since recommended it to a friend and bought another one as a gift. This little device saved me from having to buy 4 separate devices (5 if I ever need a compass). Its construction is stronger than the alternative at my local sewing store and it's incredibly easy to use. I needed to add seam allowances to a 39" x 78" project and this made it very easy and a lot quicker than I expected; I
