Great idea!: Tools and accessories

I would give five stars if it covers the lug nuts. This works great on my quad and gives me the added convenience of keeping the quad close by when I'm not around. It opens quite wide to fit around fatter tires and then closes when needed (as pictured). I'm not a locksmith but I don't think the lock or key to open the club can be duplicated as it is a series of holes of varying depths. pretty smart. Overall, I would recommend this unit over a cable lock, but I have a cable that secures this…

Didn't fit me

I used my tire on a 12" trailer tire that was used to tow my snowmobile. Accidentally left with the clamp in winter. I didn't realize it until I realized my tire was flat after driving 8 miles. The clamp broke the tire. The clamp appears to have fallen off after about a mile. I never found the clip again after that. A flat tire is not a sufficient deterrent for me. I tied the trailer to a tree with 1/2" hardened chain and everything is fine after that. I bought the grapple after my snowmobile…

Seems to be a big deterrent

I take half my friends in a golf cart to the beach. The cart uses a key that's pretty easy to break, so making it a little harder than just inserting a screwdriver into the key slot and turning it seemed like a good approach. The mace glides well over the dolly's wide wheels (the 12 inch mace) and once rotated it seems very difficult to get off again. Someone could drive away in it, but my goal was to make MY car less desirable than the car next to it. The bright colors make it clear which is…

It's useless on its own, but good as part of a broader security package.

Good visual deterrent but unlikely to stop a determined thief. Wheel locks on the Club are a must or thieves could just remove the tire and even then I wouldn't rely solely on the Club 491 and lug locks to secure your trailer. Let's be honest, if the thief really wants your caravan, he will get it one way or another. There are ways to bypass almost any security device you can buy, but having some is definitely better than nothing. The Club 491, along with some jamming noses, is a good…

When the thief isn't around it's a great product

My 7x14 tandem trailer was stolen in LESS than 4 minutes according to my neighbor's surveillance log. I had bought a good Club 491 hitch, padlock and tire claw in May 2010. It has held up well in all weathers for 5 years but when two thieves showed up during our holiday it didn't stop the thieves. . The video showed they used an angle grinder to partially cut off all three locks by just 1/4 inch and then used a pry bar to remove the hitch lock and the padlock on the hitch latch. They didn't…
