Poor quality: fuel cap

quality is not satisfied. The gasket has fallen apart and is leaking worse than my original one. I went to the store and bought a new gas bottle for $8. Don't waste your $

Pros
  • best
Cons
  • almost everything is ok

not working as advertised

Both fillers are not tight enough to prevent leaks everywhere and 1 of 2 vent tubes are leaking. Save your money and drill a small hole for the vent and close the vent with a screw.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not the best

Fragile plastic is best in parts

The plastic broke on initial installation because I was trying to unscrew the hard nose to straighten it. Very brittle, brittle plastic. It can work well if you handle it gently. I am looking for another product to purchase for my use.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Seals will NOT hold for motorcycles and powersports

I was initially happy with this product and it worked well with my gas tanks. In less than 6 months of use, the gas cylinder's rubber seals completely deteriorated, causing gas to leak every time the spout was used. Replacing the pads costs almost as much as the entire spout.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Will not fit all

Good enough I think

Fits in my 5 gallon plastic canister but venting is impractical in my opinion. While several questions have been answered regarding the need for a 3/16" or 1/4" hole for installation, the one I received requires a 1/2" hole. ?) Homeowners don't even have a drill that big. Not to mention it looks like a friction fit, there's no ridge sticking out to hold it in place, and the cap on the vent is so tight I think it would be unintentional to just pull the vent out while You try to open the lidโ€ฆ

Old Gas Bottle Spout Restoration

The latest OASHA-approved 'safe' spouts on the latest gas bottles sold are dangerous; Both styles I've tried require the jar to be held almost perpendicular to the ground while pushing the tip of the spout (gently) into the opening of the litter. Since a 5 gallon gas can is light and the "relief valve" must be pushed in, not pushed in, more gas will be spilled than is going into the tank. Forget about filling small engine tanks. These devices are old-school flexible spouts that are slightlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Questionable Purchase for Elderly

Glad I'm resourceful!

I've Spilled More Gas with Federally Approved Safety Injectors! Wanted to get back to basics with this product. Mission accomplished, but not without problems. What you need to know: Right on the packaging it says "Not suitable for gas cylinders." You should probably do this to avoid legal action. But really? - None of the rings fit the threads on my gas cans (standard Home Depot red gas cans). The good news is that I was able to take the safety jets apart and use the old threaded rings on theโ€ฆ

Great flexible spouts!: Tank cap

I have a few of these "old" spouts as they will actually bend and reach a mower, pressure washer or even a car. There's nothing worse than the spouts that come with novelty gas cartridges, especially ones that have a dumb valve built into them. Also, there is a problem that the spout is submerged in gasoline, which falls on hands. (I didn't use any vents or plugs in this kit) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DD1FZNY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and some good vent plugsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house

  • Easily repairable
