Lots of cheap stuff for aquarium pumps and filters

This is a decent deal. The only downside is that it all comes in one big bag, and that big bag has tons of ceramic rings. If this product came in two smaller bags that fit either side of the HOB filter instead of one large bag that doesn't fit the HOB filter I would rate it a 5.

Pros
  • Suitable for both freshwater and saltwater filters
Cons
  • Upgradeable

comes with a zipper bag!

It's hard to quantify how much better these rings are compared to others. The price is right and the rings come in a nice zipped pouch that has a large weave to allow water to easily penetrate. In terms of weight or volume, the price per ounce is the lowest compared to any other biological ceramic rings I've researched. It comes in a pack or two; Buying 2 saves money on one bag. I use 2 or 3 bags per canister filter and they can be used wet dry as well. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Ready to use in any canister filter
Cons
  • Update available

As good as more expensive competitors

I have two of these bags on one of the tiers of my 4 stage UV canister pump in a marine aquarium. Never touch the rings with bare hands after they have been in the filter to avoid damaging the biofilter in the rings. So when I clean the canister, I gently and gently pick them up by the strings and put them in. put it in a bowl and clean the rest of the pump. The rings certainly have growth in and on the rings and my pelvis has gone through a cycle and is now a full grown pelvis. I would buy…

Pros
  • Reusable nylon mesh bag
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Perfect for my needs

I bought this to use in a sunsun hw-302 canister filter. I've watched a few videos showing people using ceramic rings to separate the flow of water in their canister filters so I decided to give it a try. I use this to stop the flow of water, not as a biological medium, so I wash them in tap water. The item arrived earlier than expected so I was happy with it. When I opened the bag I noticed that several rings were broken, but that's not a problem as there are many left. This product fully…

Pros
  • Ammonia and nitrite removal
