I drill holes for every taste!- my review about this product

Good day, dear readers of ! When a couple of years ago I needed to purchase several drills of different diameters, then in the store I came across a drill that I had long wanted to have, but somehow it didn’t work out. This drill is conical, stepped, with a drilling diameter of 4 to 12 millimeters. I have used this drill before and really liked it. The drill perfectly drills thin steel or non-ferrous metal, as well as softer materials - plastic, fluoroplastic and other similar ones…

Pros
  • Convenient and versatile!
Cons
  • For me - no!

A good set of drills for home for little money

Hi all! Today I want to talk about the drills that I bought for home use. The set came out at 400 rubles in the well-known Chinese online store. Previously, I already used such drills of the ZUBR brand. Drills have proven themselves well on materials such as wood, plastic, aluminum, sheet metal. But something more serious drilling them is not worth it. Wear out very quickly. These drills are no different from the Bison, so I did not use them to drill steel. They are packaged in this case. The…

Pros
  • + cheap + drill well + there is a cover
Cons
  • -steel is better not to drill

It worked I think? for step drill

Well it did what I needed, cut a 1 3/8 inch hole in my sink for the garbage disposal knob. Unfortunately it took forever - about 5 minutes per step, between each step I had to take a 15+ minute break because my drill was getting hot. It didn't really slow me down because that was the only thing I wanted to do today, but i guess it would be very annoying if he kept you at work. I was hoping to cut 2 holes with it (one for my soap dispenser) but after the first one I guess I'll wait a while and…

Work at low speed, use lube

Bought to make a hole in my brew pot for a ball valve. Before buying, I watched a video on how to do it. I drilled a pilot hole and started with a step drill to enlarge the hole with lubricating oil. The first two steps were easy, then no more. I put this on my powerful drill press which also has a very high speed. Not correct. The club heated up and the steel hardened. I had to sharpen the drill and widen the hole a bit with a regular nozzle to get rid of the hardened area. I slowed the drill…

Pros
  • Industrial drill bit
Cons

I had trouble with this drill.

This step drill is very difficult to use when cutting holes in thin metal. I recommend drilling a pilot hole first to ensure the step drill is set correctly; Otherwise, the step drill bit is likely to wobble or move. The step drill tends to jam and twitch when drilling. This problem can be solved by placing the object to be drilled on a hard surface or by gripping the object to be drilled very strongly. After a single use, the drill bit becomes dull and cannot easily be used to drill the next…

Pros
  • Metalworking and general purpose drill
Cons
  • Some little things
