🐶 Coastal - Circle T - Latigo Leather Round Dog Collar: Durable, Stylish, 3/4" x 20'' Review

This collar looks strong and durable. It holds color well and is a soft latigo. The price gives good value for money. My dog always drives on the gravel road and likes to be outside. I'm tired of washing her collar and spider collars fade. It's not like this.

The collar fits our 70lb Golden Retriever perfectly and leaves no visible collar line. He loves to swim and play in the snow and so far the collar has held up to the wet environment. This is the second one I've ordered and that's because the other one broke when it decided to go around the bar one way and I the other way. I didn't see what exactly caused the collar to snap, but it happened right where the collar fitted the dog.

This product is advertised as having a circumference of 18-20 inches and an overall length of 24 inches. Total length was 20 inches as indicated on the tag attached to the collar. The description of collars of other sizes of the same product is also confusing. Coastal animals must clarify all data on their product. After going through several nylon collars I finally decided to go back to rolled leather. Size is difficult as he is an Australian with a thick coat. I figured it out and after a few adjustments the collar fits well. All tags match and it fits nicely on the training collar. Gets wet with no side effects. No discoloration or shrinkage. Bought this twisted leather collar because my large dog has a lot of extra skin on his neck; Around his neck was a flat nylon collar rubbing his fur! I bought this collar because I found it less chunky than other collars for my dog. It's strong and durable, won't stretch. But there are other things to note about this collar, which is that it doesn't have a ring to attach a leash to. The ring on the collar is more for holding the extra collar after it is put on and if you put the end of the collar through the ring the ring is not big enough to attach to the leash. I bought this for an older dog (not mine) who lives on the street and has a horribly flat collar that cuts into his skin.
