36-Inch Extra Long Metal Zipper by Coats & Clark - Dogwood Design Review

I was washing the seat cushion cover and the plastic zipper broke when I tried to put the cushion back. I put in a metal zip and had no problem getting the pillow back - the metal zip is very strong.

Strong brass zippers. Vintage quality! I bought these to use with pillow pads and they do the job. I would use them for denim or other heavy fabrics. They also have a large width of fabric on either side of the zipper teeth, making it easy to sew. Room for two rows of stitches on each side for extra strength.

lightning metal brass. Installed it on a backpack with a broken zipper. The zipper has a lot of resistance to movement and is not very smooth. I tried smoothing it out with candle wax but it didn't help much. After repeated applications of oil and hundreds of up and down strokes, the zipper is now reasonably smooth.
