I just installed my second of these. The first has been up for year(s) and looks like the day I put it up. It's not easy to get the film to fit right up against the frame (which is how I wanted it) but can be achieved with proper tools and some tricks. I suggest scissors, a utility knife, and a straight metal edge with a sharp corner like a putty trowel (or ruler). Here's what I've learned to do (but follow my example at your own risk):1. You can't see much of anything through this stuff, even if you are standing right beside the window. I put it up in the bathroom because our window is right beside the shower. When my wife steps out of the shower, you can't see ANYTHING from outside. Now we can leave the shade up and enjoy natural light without "flashing" the neighbors! And, it's a breeze to install (once you get the hang of peeling off the very thin backing layer).

I could not get backing off. I was so frustrated and had the wife try as well. We both determined there was no backing. Then I thought of how you can make a ribbon curly (I know sounds crazy, just hear me out) by using edge of scissors and bending it over the sharp edge and pulling it over the edge. I did this same thing on the corner of the film and then the backing separated a little but enough to grip and pull it off.I suggest cut the film larger, get backing off as described above, get…

used this film to cover the back of my aquarium, application went perfect, just be sure to follow the directions. because it is a little transparent, I added a vinyl aquarium backround over the film loosely to block the slight transparency that the film has so my plumbing and hoses would not show through

Installed on the inside of shower doors to add privacy and to prevent hard water buildup on inside of shower doors -- have had up for a month and it works great! Doesn't fall down and saves me the hassle of squeegeeing the shower every time I use it. The longer it is up the smoother in appearance the film appears (less bubbles). We had a new shower installed in a space that used to have a 40"x60" jacuzzi tub. The space had a 30"x40" window that was covered with window blinds before the tub was taken out. We needed a film that would let in light and give us privacy in the new shower while being able to get wet daily.The installation went very smoothly. I bought two pieces to cover 26 by 64 windows. They are fairly easy to install, but found some small air bubbles next day. Let’s see how long they hold up. Overall, they look great and do what they are supposed to do, providing the privacy where needed.
